Welcome to First Baptist Church's web site. We are so glad that you've come to check us out. We are currently updating the site so that we can include more information and eventually videos of our Sunday services and other events happening at FBC of Omaha.

FBC has been involved in reaching out to Omaha for over 150 years. As we look back across this long history we can see how God has led, guided, provided and used this family of believers to touch and change many lives. We can also see how God has prepared us for today and "for such a time as this." Along with the many ministries we have with children, youth, and adults - old and young, we are also involved in many ways to strengthen and minister to our community. Among these include our involvement with Neighbors United which provides a meal each Saturday from 11:30 - 1:00pm for our community, served right here in our fellowship hall. We are also involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship, Crisis Pregnancy Center, and Good News Jail Ministry. A Narcotics Anonymous group meets here every Sunday afternoon as well as many other groups from the community.

Our church slogan is "Forward in Faith, Empowered by the Spirit," and our logo is the symbol of a torch. Together they indicate that we are a church on the move, looking ahead to what God has in store, seeking to be light-bearers to the community and the world around us.
